Mending the Fabric of Our Shared Icelandic Heritage

Updated: Sep 28, 2021

Today was the big event - the Þjóðræknisþing (Icelandic National League Convention).

Her Excellency, President Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, gave a wonderful address speaking three different languages: Icelandic, English, and French. She fluently speaks many other languages, too. She is an amazing human being and such a treasure. All the speeches and presentations were interesting and so valuable to preserving our shared heritage. Björn Thoroddsen played his guitar and he impressed the crowd, as always. It was a fabulous program with very good attendance. A huge thank you to Halldór Árnason, Svavar Gestsson, and the entire Board of the ÞFÍ.
