The Utah Icelanders are doing a great job preserving their heritage. The first Icelanders arrived in Utah on 07 September 1855. Professor Fred Woods at Brigham Young University, Utah, and Kári Bjarnason, Head of the Library of Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, are working on the history of all 400 Icelanders that left Iceland and this important story.
