Happy Summer Solstice

The summer solstice is when the tilt of the planet is most in line with the sun in the northern hemisphere. It signifies the day with the longest amount of sunshine.

In the northern city of Akureyri, the sun never goes below the horizon the entire day.

The sun just sinks down in the sky low enough to kiss the horizon before it rises back up again in the sky sporting the beautiful hues of red and gold
