The Gray Sky in Iceland

Updated: Apr 26, 2021

Here is a funny, short story.

This summer, the weather in Iceland has been cold and rainy and cloudy. Well, during my two weeks there, the weather did not improve.

Here is the story:

The day before leaving Iceland, I was using face time to talk with my daughter. (we could see each other and talk on our cellphones.)

After 5 minutes, I asked her, “Macey, where are you?”

She answered, “I’m outside.”

I did not recognize the background, so I asked her, “Where are you? I do not recognize that bright blue painted wall behind you.”

She gave me a strange look and said, “Mom, that’s the sky.”

Too funny!

Wow. That North Dakota sky was an amazing and brilliant blue.
