Jason Doctor

Jason Doctor is an American and descendant of Icelanders from both North and East Iceland. He holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California at San Diego and is a professor of public policy at the University of Southern California.

Jason has interests in reconnecting Western Icelanders to the rich history and literary tradition of Iceland through writing, the promotion of seminars, scholarship and exchange programs. He also supports public efforts to preserve the migration stories of Icelanders and their descendants around the globe.

As an Icelandic Roots volunteer, Jason works with Public Webinars, the Saga Projects, and other special projects and programs.
