Susan is a dedicated and detailed genealogist from Utah. She is always willing to share new information and takes meeting notes whenever Ferne is unavailable. She is a great team member.

When not immersed in teaching, Tammy enjoys travelling down rabbit holes uncovering mysteries and making connections thought to be lost. We welcome Tammy to the IR Team and look forward to what her talents and commitment bring to our wider community.

Willie has a special interest in Washington Island and Wisconsin Icelanders. He is making great contributions to the database with photos, stories, and information about these people.

Allen joined Icelandic Roots as a member in February 2020 and quickly explored everything he could find about his Icelandic ancestors.

Beth particularly enjoys tracking down details, finding cousins, and using the relationship calculator, and recently joined the IR team as lead volunteer managing the membership group on Facebook.

Carolyn is excited to be on the Icelandic Roots team and is looking forward to continuing to research her own family and other Saskatchewan Icelanders.

Rus has become one of the main team members in a very short amount of time. He takes emails from members, enters information, does great detailed research, and works with the Media Team.

David specializes in researching the 400 or so Icelanders who emigrated to or through Utah between 1855 and 1914.

Ferne was introduced to genealogy in 1980 and has been thoroughly hooked ever since.

Helga Margrét works on the IR Team, taking emails from members, researching, and connecting people with the 'Cousins Across the Ocean' project.

Hjörtur has been a research support genealogist for many years with IR. He is always happy to help out when called upon.

Lorne is an active member of the main IR Team. And, as a part of the Media Team he manages member emails, as well as conducting research on cemeteries and Canadian place names for our database.

Sparked by his uncle Sigfinnur's mentorship in genealogy, Ragnar continues these pursuits as a member of our genealogy team.

Sheila has been happily trapped in the genealogy vortex for many years, and now looks forward to helping others learn about their own roots in Iceland.

Sunna is the founder and president of Icelandic Roots. She works on various administrative duties every day but is very happy when she can just climb into the Icelandic Vortex and work on genealogy. She enjoys teaching members and others about Icelandic Roots and is a frequent presenter at conferences and festivals.

Sveinbjörg spends time in Reykjavík and Akureyri with Valdimar. The two of them make a great team. Sveinbjörg has just finished her book and many of us cannot wait until it is also in English! Congratulations to Sveinbjörg!
