Amazon Teams With Anonymous Benefactors for Icelandic Roots

Wow! Icelandic Roots received a wonderful letter in the mail. The letter says, "You are receiving this notice because one or more Amazon customers have selected to support Icelandic Roots when they shop at Amazon Smile."

Thank you so much to whoever initiated this campaign. Being unaware of this program, I did some research about the Amazon Smile Program. Icelandic Roots is now properly registered on the site.

The information online states: "AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases will be donated. It is the same Amazon that you already shop at – same products, same prices, same service."

Icelandic Roots is an all-volunteer organization and 100% of donations go to support Icelandic programs and initiatives such as the Snorri Program, Snorri West, INLofNA, INL of Iceland, Lögberg-Heimskringla, and other Icelandic organizations and programs. We are so appreciative of all donations to preserve and promote our shared Icelandic Heritage.
